___________________________will
join dozens of other
newspapers around the
country to carry this
year’s SURVIVOR Football
Contest which features a
national grand prize of
$10,000.
In
SURVIVOR Football,
contestants are asked to
select one – and only one
– college football team to
win on each DAY of the
upcoming holiday bowl
season.
The key is that your
correct picks must be
consecutive.
For as long as you
are correct, you survive.
First miss and
you’re finished. It does
not matter how many games
you ultimately get right –
only how long you can last
without a miss.
The
contest form will appear
periodically over the next
week and a half.
All entries must be
in by
noon
Eastern Time on Dec. 19.
Mailed entries must
be postmarked by Dec. 18.
In
addition to the grand prize,
the ___________________ will
award a prize of
_____________ to the
contestant locally who lasts
the most days (or who
prevails in the Tiebreaker
system).
To
enter, LOCAL ENTRY
INSTRUCTIONS HERE.
(It’s your call,
but we suggest having
contestants drop entries off
at participating
co-sponsors, thus building
floor traffic in their
stores.)

will carry this season's POWER
POINTS Football Contest, which
features a weekly grand prize
of $1,000.
Along with other newspapers in
the
Midwest (or
South/West or East)
region, the _________________
will publish the contest for
17 weeks, beginning next week.
In addition to the $1,000
regional grand prize, a local
prize of _____________ will be
awarded each week.
In POWER POINTS, the object of
the game is to amass as many
of the 136 possible points
each week as you can.
Contestants select
winners from each week’s list
of games – mostly NFL action
but with a smattering of top
regional college games.
Contestants pick their
winners and plot them along a
weighted point scale according
to their confidence in them.
Your highest-confidence
pick goes on the 16-point
line, your lowest-confidence
pick on the 1-point line.
The contestant regionally who
tallies the most of the 136
points each week wins $1,000.
The local contestant
who tallies the most of the
136 points is the local
winner.
Weekly deadline for entry is
2 p.m. on Thursdays.
To enter the contest,
PLACE LOCAL PROCEDURES
HERE.
(Up to you, but we
suggest using your
co-sponsoring merchants as
drop-off points for entries so
we build store traffic for
them.)
